How to change impeller?

Anyone ever do an impeller job on an I/O engine? I'm pretty handy but don't want to get into something over my head. How much would you say a mechanic would charge?How to change impeller?Mercruiser alpha series.... 1 hour labor at $110, $55 for the impeller/pump kit. Bravo series (seawater pump).....1 to 2 hours, $75 for the kit. The other brands....... oh hell, there IS no other brands in my world.How to change impeller?Changing an impeller is a fairly simple job if you are handy.You don't say what type of engine and drive you have because that makes a difference.Is it a merc,volvo,(omc-old 800 series or cobra)Need to know which it is before I can explain how to change it.How to change impeller?If unsure pay a professional - it will cost what it costs, but then you get a warranty.



You should buy a workshop manual for your setup before playing with it - if you get it wrong you may cost yourself a lot of money.
