Highly recommend you drain your gearcase %26amp; look for water. Suspect you might have a tiny bit of corrosion on the driveshaft that may have damaged the driveshaft seal.
If so, fix it now before it gets worse. Do not try to drive the pin out it can removed by lifting one side of the pin attachment off, then it will slide off and the lower unit can be romoved.
