The foot will not drop off Hel?propeller doesn't have to come off, but this is a good time to take it off %26amp; inspect the shaft for fishing line or other debris which will damage the seal if not removed. put a little grease on there when you reinstall it.
The shiftrod has to be disconnected. Sorry not familiar with that particular model -- sometimes the disconnect is under the carb, sometimes there's an access panel on the exhaust housing just above the antiventilation plate.
